S355JO+N is a non-alloy structural steel type characterized by excellent strength and high toughness. Its composition consists of Carbon (≤0.22%), Manganese (≤1.60%), Silicon (≤0.55%), and traces of Sulphur and Phosphorus. The “+N“ signifies normalization, which improves the steel‘s mechanical properties. S355JO+N offers a minimum yield point of 355 MPa and tensile strength in the range of 470–630 MPa, with good elongation and excellent weldability. It is therefore well suited for use where load-bearing capacity and impact properties are needed, even in cold environments.
