SA 516 GR.60N NACE and HIC Plates are pressure vessel plates of carbon steel intended for hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) service. Their make-up consists of a maximum of 0.21% carbon and 0.55–1.30% manganese, with limited phosphorus and sulfur content. They are normalized for enhanced toughness and have a minimum yield strength of 260 MPa and tensile strength of 415–550 MPa. They are impact-tested at -50°C in order to meet NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 requirements. Their HIC and sulfide stress corrosion resistance makes them suitable for corrosive and high-pressure applications
