SA 516 GR.70N NACE HIC Plates are constructed of carbon steel with carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon incorporated in them and normalized for enhancing toughness. These plates go through specialized processes to prevent hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC) and hence are suitable for sour service environments. They provide a minimum yield strength of 260 MPa and tensile strength from 485–620 MPa with good notch toughness. Every plate undergoes stringent testing and certification as per NACE MR0175 specifications, offering the best corrosion resistance in H₂S-rich media present in oil and gas processing technologies.
