Rockstar 400 is a quench and tempered abrasion-resistant steel with a hardness rating of 360–430 BHN. Its chemical content consists of ≤0.22% Carbon, ≤1.60% Manganese, ≤0.70% Silicon, ≤1.40% Chromium, ≤0.50% Nickel, and ≤0.60% Molybdenum, and Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Boron in small traces. The Carbon Equivalent (CE) is restricted to 0.65% max for weldability. Rockstar 400 has a yield strength of 1000 MPa, tensile strength of 1250 MPa, elongation of 12%, and impact toughness of 40 J at -30°C, which provides remarkable resistance to mechanical stress and abrasion.
