Rockstar 500 is abrasion-resistant steel with a hardness level of 450–540 BHN, attained through state-of-the-art quenching and tempering. Its structure contains carbon (≤0.30%), manganese (1.60%), silicon (≤0.70%), phosphorus (≤0.025%), sulfur (≤0.010%), chromium (≤1.50%), nickel (≤1.50%), molybdenum (≤0.70%), boron (≤0.0040%), and a CE up to 0.65%. The mechanical performance consists of high yield strength of 1250 MPa, tensile strength of 1500 MPa, 8% elongation, and impact toughness of 27 J at -30°C, making it outstanding in harsh, high-wear conditions.
