Alloy Steel 4140 Coils consist of chromium (0.80–1.10%), molybdenum (0.15–0.25%), manganese (0.75–1.00%), carbon (0.38–0.43%), and iron as the major constituent. It is a low-alloy steel that has superior strength, hardness, and fatigue resistance. Its mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 655 MPa (minimum), yield strength of 415 MPa (minimum), and elongation of approximately 20%.
