Carbon Steel SA179 Tubes have a strictly controlled chemical composition with carbon (0.06%–0.18%), manganese (0.27%–0.63%), and residual amounts of phosphorus and sulfur (each ≤ 0.035%) to enhance weldability and reduce brittleness. SA179 tubing is available with excellent thermal conductance and strength, with tensile strength of about 325 MPa, yield strength of about 180 MPa, and elongation of approximately 35%. Their fine grain and polish finish guarantee superior performance at high pressure and high temperature conditions.
