Carbon Steel F42 Forged Fittings generally consist of 0.26% carbon, 1.30% manganese, 0.035% phosphorus, and 0.040% sulfur. This steel grade provides superior strength with a moderate level of ductility, having minimum yield strength of 290 MPa and tensile strength of 415 MPa. The fittings are normalized or heat-treated to withstand pressure systems more effectively. Their high toughness and wear resistance under rough operating conditions make them dependable. F42‘s well-balanced composition provides excellent weldability, formability, and dimensional stability, thus qualifying as a material of choice for pipeline and pressure equipment assemblies.
