B16 alloy steel contains 0.40–0.50% carbon, 0.75–1.2% chromium, and 0.15–0.25% molybdenum, along with vanadium additions. These washers have tensile strength >860 MPa and are heat-treated for high-temperature performance. They also have very good hardness and creep, and fatigue resistance.
