Gr B7 Bolts are produced with AISI 4140/4142 chromium-molybdenum steel, heat-treated to ensure high tensile and hardness. They have a minimum tensile strength and yield strength of 125 ksi and 105 ksi, respectively. The bolts are resistant to wear, thermal stress, and mechanical fatigue. They find application in temperatures up to 450°C (840°F), suitable for extreme conditions. Hardness is normally in the Rockwell C35–C45 range.
