Alloy Steel Gr B7 Fasteners contain mostly chromium (0.80–1.05%) and molybdenum, providing improved corrosion resistance and hardness. Other components are carbon (0.30–0.40%) and manganese (0.75–1.00%), which enhance the strength and hardness of the alloy. These fasteners have superior mechanical properties with a tensile strength of at least 125 ksi and yield strength of at least 105 ksi. Heat-treated for toughness, the fasteners retain ductility in extreme temperatures and pressure. ASTM A193 standard compliant, Gr B7 fasteners are meant for service in high-pressure, high-temperature, and high-stress conditions in industrial applications.
