What is Alloy Steel P92 Pipes?

Alloy Steel P92 Pipes consist of Chromium (8.5–9.5%), Molybdenum (0.30–0.60%), Tungsten (1.5–2.0%), Vanadium (0.15–0.25%), Nitrogen (0.03–0.07%), Carbon (0.07–0.13%), and minor percentages of Niobium and Boron. These alloying elements contribute very high creep resistance and high-temperature performance. P92 provides a minimum tensile strength of 620 MPa and yield strength of 440 MPa with elongation of approximately 20%. The steel is tempered and normalized to achieve higher durability, weldability, and oxidation and thermal fatigue resistance so that it is suitable for high-stress operating environments in sophisticated power systems.
