ASME SA 387 Grade 91 Class 1/2 Sheets and Plates are alloy steels with a complex composition containing chromium (~9%), molybdenum (~1%), vanadium, and niobium. These elements ensure higher creep strength, high-temperature stability, and outstanding oxidation resistance. The plates have good tensile strength, in the range of 585–760 MPa, with Class 2 somewhat higher in strength and yield than Class 1.
