BIRNAR 450 Sheets and Plates are constructed from chromium-nickel-manganese carbon alloy steel that increases their hardness, toughness, and wear resistance. These plates have an average Brinell Hardness Number (BHN) of 450 and exhibit excellent abrasion resistance as well as mechanical strength. They have a tensile strength of 1250–1450 MPa and a yield strength of around 1000 MPa. In spite of high hardness, BIRNAR 450 plates are weldable and machinable and can be employed in intricate fabricating operations. These characteristics are well-suited for heavy-duty applications in abrasive and high-stress conditions.
