Carbon Steel EN-45 Bars consist mainly of carbon (0.45–0.50%), manganese (0.60–0.90%), silicon (0.10–0.35%), together with controlled amounts of phosphorus and sulfur (≤0.035%), and chromium (≤0.30%). These bars provide great mechanical performance, with tensile strength ranging from 700–900 MPa, yield strength ranging from 450–600 MPa, and elongation ranging from 14–18%. Being in the range of 200–250 HB Brinell hardness, EN-45 bars provide a good balance of toughness, hardness, and ductility and thus are ideal for heavy-duty and fatigue-resistant services in engineering and manufacturing.
