Carbon Steel F48 Forged Fittings usually contain 0.26% carbon, 1.40% manganese, and controlled phosphorus and sulfur contents to enhance weldability and toughness. The fittings have a minimum yield point of around 330 MPa and tensile strength of 450 MPa. Their enhanced hardness and fatigue resistance allow them to be used in high load applications. Grain structure is strengthened by heat treatment, enhancing impact resistance and ductility. The chemical composition provides superior machinability and corrosion resistance with harsh media, and F48 is thus suitable for high-demanding pipeline and fluid transport systems.
