IS 2062 Grade A Plates and Sheets consist mainly of carbon (max 0.23%), manganese (up to 1.50%), phosphorus (max 0.045%), sulfur (max 0.045%), and silicon (up to 0.45%). These plates provide a minimum yield strength of 250 MPa and tensile strength of 410–540 MPa, with a minimum elongation of 23%.
