NICRODUR 450 Sheets and Plates are produced from wear-resistant alloyed steel that includes carbon, manganese, chromium, and molybdenum. The alloying components increase the plates’ hardness, abrasion resistance, and strength. With a nominal surface hardness of around 450 HBW, the material provides outstanding tensile strength (1400–1600 MPa) and high yield strength of around 1200 MPa. NICRODUR 450 provides excellent impact resistance, good formability under favorable conditions, and preserves its toughness at low temperatures. It is thus a perfect option for heavy-duty, high-impact usage in demanding operating conditions.
