NICRODUR 500 Sheets and Plates consist of high-strength quenched and tempered alloy steel having a chemical composition comprising carbon, manganese, chromium, nickel, and boron. These constituents deliver improved hardness, strength, and abrasion resistance. NICRODUR 500 has a nominal hardness of 500 HBW, yield strength of approximately 1200 MPa, and tensile strength up to 1600 MPa. This ensures high wear resistance, toughness, and structural integrity even under harsh mechanical stress. The plates retain high performance in adverse environments, rendering them suitable for heavy-duty applications in industry.
