SA 516 GR.65N NACE and MR 0103-0175 plates are carbon steel plates designed for sour service applications. They have a chemical composition of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur, with chromium and nickel being added for improved corrosion and toughness. These plates provide 485–620 MPa tensile strength and at least a 260 MPa minimum yield strength. Normalized and stringently tested, they meet NACE MR0103 and MR0175 standards, providing superior resistance to hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC) and sulfide stress corrosion cracking (SSC)—thus being suitable for harsh and corrosive conditions.
